Welcome:  Donnie Rodgers, sitting in for Barry Stevens, called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.

Program:  Board member Catherine Simmons, also a City Alderman, gave a report about a Missouri Municipal League conference called “For the love of the city”.  She reported that there are four main questions that communities need to ask when considering a development project: Are we ready for this? Who are these guys? Is the project feasible? Is it really necessary?  These questions will be beneficial when meeting with or considering a new project in our community.

Minutes:  Motion made by Simmons seconded by Grimes to approve the minutes from August 26th, 2012, with one correction. Motion passed unanimous.

A date of November 1st has been set for the kickoff.  Invitations with date and time will be sent out by the Chamber to all Chamber members, CREDI members, school administration Library, City and park officials. Four businesses have been chosen to be showcased that evening.  Ritchie’s, Angell’s, Forrest Chev., and Kinkead's.  They were chosen because of their retail exposure and longevity in Centralia. All members are urged to attend.

Enhanced Enterprise Zone: The Centralia EEZ ordinance is still awaiting county approval.
